Rocky Mountain Hardware

This is the “good stuff”. They do their own knobs and use Baldwin mechanisms. The Rocky Mountain Hardware patinas: silicon bronze dark, silicon bronze rust, silicon bronze medium, silicon bronze light, white bronze dark, white bronze light and white bronze medium

The company chose solid bronze as their preferred medium. From their experience in hardware distribution, they knew that only sand-cast bronze would give the look, texture, durability, and color versatility they wanted. The appearance of oil-rubbed bronze was sought after by architects and designers, but most of the available market choices were either steel or brass, with platings or paint or coatings to resemble bronze. These could simulate the look, but only temporarily, as finishes scratched or wore off revealing a completely different color and texture underneath; even worse, exposed steel could rust and bleed through or run onto its door Rocky Mountain Hardware's solid bronze would oxidize naturally, but like a bronze sculpture, the color would deepen and enrich over time. And the company's hand-applied patinas came in a range of colors that added to the products' appeal in a vast range of decorating and architectural styles.
